A sunny day. The street is filled with ice cream and dead grandmas. Where do they come from? The doctor’s of course. Who doesn’t like a little ice cream with dead grandmas in the waiting room?
Best Animation Film
A big family, scattered in all directions comes together on the farm "Le Heder" in Brittany. Here they want to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their parents marriage. With four generations under one roof, conflicts and misunderstandings are unavoidable.
Best Screenplay
Who doesn’t know this? Two socks go into the washing machine and only one comes out. What happens to the others? A black hole? Sock thieves? MADE IN FRANCE shows the impressive paths of lost socks from the machine to their unexpected destination.
Best Children's Film
The curly-haired Kay and his motocross crew are stuck in the middle of puberty. Then Kay meets Melody, a girl who has docked her boat at the river. With her Kay is transformed. A film which delicately breaks gender stereotypes.
Best Youth Film
Addai, who is in his twenties, leaves Germany and joins a salafist group in Syria. In fragmented animated images this documentary tells Addai’s story and pursues the question, how he could have made this decision - a story about war and loss.
